Kim also praised Ahn Woo-jin, saying that he is the best pitcher in the KBO league. He shared his experiences. 

"An Woo-jin gave me the opportunity to retire when I was active. I faced An Woo-jin during the retirement season when I was active. I held out at 2 strikes-3 balls. I hit a fastball, but I got a foul, a breaking ball, and I felt that I couldn't keep up with the ball," Kim said. 

"There was a day when I couldn't hit the ball because of bad condition while playing baseball. However, I never thought that I couldn't keep up with the ball. It was my first time. In the end, I was struck out by a fastball and missed swing at the time, but it felt like I swung after the ball went into the mitts. So now I thought, 'I can't either. It's over,'" he said, adding that his powerful pitching was one of the factors that made him decide to retire. 

Kim Tae-kyun, born in 1982, is a legend of the Hanwha Eagles. During the 19 seasons of the KBO League, he recorded 2,209 hits, 311 homers, and a batting average of 0.320 in 2015 games. His on-base plus slugging percentage was 0.937, ranking third in the KBO League history. This means that legendary batter Kim Tae-kyun praised Ahn Woo-jin. 

Ahn Woo-jin is a pitcher for Kiwoom in the KBO League, who was born in 1999. During six KBO seasons, he played in 156 games and 620 innings, recording an overwhelming 45 wins, 35 losses, two saves, and an earned run average of 3.21. Due to an elbow injury during the 2023 season, he underwent Tommy John surgery. After the end of the season, he joined the military as a social worker to resolve his military service. Scheduled to be discharged from his military service in September 2025, Ahn will return to the 2026 season, and he is considered a player worthy of MLB's attention.
